Bryce Canyon
We are in the Grand Staircase region of Utah. Within this area are 3 National Parks, and Lake powell. All of these wonderful sights are within 1-2 hours driving time of each other. Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Zion National Park, and Lake Powell.
I wanted a photograph that wasn't the generic Bryce Canyon shot. This photograph was in the late afternoon, cloudy just after a rainfall. The clouds, and setting sun gave use a beautiful photograph. Spending a day or two a Bryce can be worth the stay.
Being centrally located between Cedar Breaks, and Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon can be seen with just a 1.5-2 hour drive. As with any photography morning or afternoon is best. In the winter the canyon is sometimes cover with snow because of the high elevation.
Many of the visitors who come to Bryce Canyon never desend into the canyon itself. Most take pictures of this beautiful canyon, and this is what is seen in most photos of the National Park. But down within the canyon walls is an adventure worth taking. I encourage anyone who visits to take the time and go on some of the trails which curve back and forth troughout the canyon which lies below.
